7 years of this tournament! WOW! We have worked hard to honor our friend, Nick, but the true reason this has been successful is the amazing friends and family that have carried us through. Thank you to every one of you who have attended, donated, volunteered, and continued to support us. You should all be proud all 6 scholarships that we have given out and proud that we have honored Nick so well for 7 years. We had a wonderful tournament in at the Moose Lodge in Mentone. We are excited to have such amazing support from this wonderful organization and are looking forward to many many years of great weekends together.

We had another fantastic tournament with our fourth annual Nick Carter Memorial Scholarship Poker Tournament. We always start with a gigantic thank you to all our generous donors. We are glad to present one of the premiere scholarships in the district, helping to keep alive the memory of our dear friend. This is made possible mainly through the support of our annual poker event. Please enjoy the pictures of our most recent tournament.

The third annual Nick Carter Memorial Scholarship Poker Tournament was our most successful event to date! As always, we want to extend a gigantic thank you to all our participants, as well as all our generous donors who could not be there with us to celebrate, and everyone else who helped make this possible.
We are very proud to have established our scholarship as one of the premiere scholarships in the district, helping to keep alive the memory of our dear friend. This year, due to overwhelming applicants, we chose to hand out two scholarships. Once more, we were able to find recipients who truly embodied the greatest qualities of Nick Carter. We are excited to continue to honor Nick’s memory by helping to promote the next group of great young individuals in this town.

The Second Annual Nick Carter Memorial Scholarship Poker Tournament was even more successful than the first! Thank you to all the participants who attended, to those donors who could not make it to Redlands in person, and to everyone else who helped to make this event just as much fun as the first year. Thanks to all the hard work and donations, we were able to increase our scholarship amount to $1000 this year for one, very well deserving senior at Citrus Valley High School in Redlands. The same can be said about this year’s recipient as last year’s. He is not just any student, but a person who exemplifies some of the qualities that Nick possessed in his life time. We are excited to continue this great annual event with friends, new and old. And we are excited to continue to honor Nick’s memory by helping to promote the next group of great young individuals in this town.

2011
The First Annual Nick Carter Memorial Scholarship Poker Tournament was a rousing success! Thank you to all the participants who attended, and to those donors who could not make it to Redlands in person. Your generous donations helped fund the first of what we hope are many many scholarships for High School students in the City of Redlands. Not just any students, either, but caring, enthusiastic young individuals who exemplify some of the qualities that Nick possessed in his life time: a loyal friend, an accomplished soccer player, a courageous soldier, and someone who loved to express himself through the culinary arts. With almost 50 players and the generosity of other donors we were able to raise enough to award the first scholarship to a student in the class of 2011.
