Mission Statement

The Nicholas C. Carter Memorial Scholarship Foundation honors the memory of Nicholas C. Carter by awarding an annual scholarship to one Redlands High School student who exhibits some of the interests and qualities he possessed, including, but not limited to: soccer, the culinary arts, military service, integrity, ambitiousness, loyalty and friendship.

We greatly appreciate all of our wonderful supporters for over a decade allowing us to grow into a premier scholarship for Redlands area high school seniors!

Thanks to the ongoing success of our fundraising event, our scholarship is now up to $1,000 each year.  We have already become one of the largest scholarships given out in Redlands! This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Redlands Senior High School male who has lettered in junior varsity or varsity soccer.  Preference will be given to students who share Nicholas Carter’s passion for soccer, culinary arts and/or military service.  Applicants should present a 1 or 2 page informal essay demonstrating the impact that one of these interests has had in their life.  The essay is intended to shed light upon the student’s passions rather than provide a proficiency in writing.  Applicants should feel free to include humor, recount personal events or find other creative ways to let their personality be the focus of the essay.
